Change your choices
You can accept or reject non-essential processing at any time. Your choice is remembered for 180 days, after which we'll ask again. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Some are needed for a site to work; others are used to remember preferences or measure how a site is used. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations and UK GDPR) says we can set strictly necessary cookies without asking, and must get your consent for anything else.
Cookies we set
This website only sets strictly necessary, first-party cookies. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| opswb-session | Keeps your session together between page loads, for example so a form you submit is recognised as yours. | Essential | 2 hours |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Protects forms on this site against cross-site request forgery attacks. | Essential | 2 hours |
| opswb_consent | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner so we don't keep asking. | Essential | 180 days |
Cookie-free analytics
To understand which pages are useful we count page views on our own server. We don't use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics service, and no cookie or other identifier is stored on your device for this.
- Each page view is recorded with the page, the time, the referring site, your device type, browser family and preferred language.
- Visits are grouped using a one-way hash of your IP address and browser that changes every day, so you can't be identified or followed across days. Your IP address itself is not stored.
- If you reject analytics in the banner, or your browser sends a Do-Not-Track or Global Privacy Control signal, nothing is recorded.
- Analytics data is deleted automatically after 13 months.
Forms you send us
When you use the contact form or request access to something, we keep the details you give us so we can reply. We only use them for that purpose. Our privacy policy covers this in full, along with the OpsWB web and mobile apps. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email [email protected].
